Ask the process team to distinguish observed deposit formation, suspended solids, crystallization and heat-related product change. Supply deposit samples or existing cleaning records where available. Label assumptions clearly when no operating history exists. The purpose is to give bidders comparable information, not to diagnose an unknown deposit from a product label.
Compare another evaporation mode
In GEA’s forced-circulation description, liquid is heated under pressure and flashes in the separator; boiling is kept away from the heating surface to reduce deposition associated with precipitation. That can make the technology relevant when the proposed falling-film duty is difficult. GEA technical description It does not remove the need for feed-specific testing.
Write a cleanability review
Request the cleaning circuit, drain points, inspection access and materials compatibility for the chemicals your facility intends to use. Have the process and equipment specialists establish the cleaning method, concentration, temperature and duration. A public equipment guide cannot prescribe a cleaning recipe for unknown product and construction materials.
Evaluate annual operation
Suggested bid comparison: useful production time, planned cleaning downtime, cleaning utility demand, product recovery and waste handling. Define who will verify cleaning effectiveness and how performance will be measured over the agreed campaign. A claimed clean-duty heat transfer value alone is not an adequate comparison of annual production capability.
