Feed distributor for falling-film evaporation
Establish an even film before adding heat.
01 / WETTING
A distributor is a process-critical component, not simply an inlet connection. Uneven flow can leave some tubes overloaded while others develop dry areas. The distributor and tube layout must be considered together; a stable total flow reading cannot prove every tube is wetted.

| Input | Output | Installation interfaces |
|---|---|---|
| Conditioned feed at an agreed inlet temperature | Liquid distributed across the active tube inlets | Feed nozzle, distributor access, tube sheet and cleaning supply |

| Review item | Required basis |
|---|---|
| Distribution geometry | Assess hole or passage geometry against suspended solids and the full feed range. |
| Minimum wetting | State the minimum liquid flow per pass at the most concentrated operating case. |
| Access | Confirm how the head opens and how blocked passages are inspected. |
Operation & maintenance
Record start-up, low-load and product-change conditions. A downstream control valve cannot correct a damaged or partly blocked distributor. Include inspection of deposits and alignment in the maintenance plan.
Selection limit
Fibre, particles, foam and flashing at the head can disturb distribution. Obtain product trials before assuming a juice name establishes suitability.
