Configure a falling-film evaporation project
Select effect arrangement and heat recovery as separate dimensions, then evaluate them against your food-liquid duty.
Compare on a common basis
| Dimension | Options | Evidence needed |
|---|---|---|
| Effect arrangement | Single or multiple effects | Temperature and pressure profile, product path and footprint |
| Heat recovery | Steam, TVR or MVR evaluation | Steam conditions, electricity, vapour quality and temperature lift |
| Operating range | Normal, minimum and transition loads | Wetting, residence history and control response |
| Project boundary | Core evaporation plus selected interfaces | Preheat, aroma recovery, CIP and downstream concentrate transfer |
What a project proposal should resolve
Request the same feed and product basis from every bidder. Confirm mass and heat balances, physical envelope, materials, utility quantities, automation scope and exclusions. A model designation should point to those conditions, not replace them.
HEAT RECOVERY / TVR
Thermal vapour recompressor
Use motive steam to recover part of the process vapour heat.
HEAT RECOVERY / MVRMechanical vapour recompressor
Raise recovered vapour pressure using electrical drive.
CONTROL / REPEATABILITYInstrumentation & CIP interface
Make operating limits observable and cleaning boundaries explicit.
