Specify the evaporator acceptance test
Agree the feed, measurement boundary and quality criteria before comparing quotations.
Lock the test basis
Record representative feed composition and temperature, intended inlet flow, target concentrate and permitted variation. State whether the test uses mass solids or a product-calibrated refractive measure. Define the sampling method and instrument calibration.
Report three flow quantities
Measure or reconcile feed, concentrate and evaporation rates in kg/h. Include the balance closure and any separated streams. A claimed feed capacity without outlet concentration does not describe an evaporation duty.
Count all agreed utilities
Record steam, electrical power and cooling conditions within the agreed boundary. Report steady production separately from start-up and cleaning. Compare the result with the actual guarantee basis rather than another project’s utility figure.
Include quality and operating range
Set product quality checks, carry-over criteria, lowest-load demonstration and cleaning acceptance. Agree how deviations are investigated and documented. Commercial guarantees, supply scope and responsibility belong in the final project agreement.
