Vacuum & condenser package for falling-film evaporation
Maintain the pressure basis used by the concentration design.
UTILITIES / PRESSURE
Vacuum performance is linked to condensation, air leakage and cooling conditions. A nominal pump size does not establish a boiling temperature. Poor venting or warm cooling water can change the operating pressure and reduce the available thermal driving force.

| Review item | Required basis |
|---|---|
| Summer cooling case | State the highest cooling-water inlet temperature and available flow. |
| Pressure basis | Use absolute pressure and a defined measurement location. |
| Leakage allowance | Agree start-up evacuation and steady non-condensable duties. |
Operation & maintenance
Record cooling temperatures, vacuum pressure and non-condensable extraction. Inspect seals and connections when unexplained pressure changes occur. Keep product-bearing condensate separate where its quality has not been validated.
Selection limit
Pure-water saturation temperature is not the product boiling temperature when boiling point elevation is material.
