FALLING FILMEVAPORATION SYSTEMS

Falling film evaporation for grape juice concentration

Assess grape-juice concentration using a measured feed basis, target solids, deposit risk, concentrate viscosity and cleaning requirements.

01 / APPLICATION

Establish the incoming juice condition

Describe clarification, suspended solids and any upstream treatment affecting the evaporation feed. Record temperature and concentration at the point where the liquid enters the equipment. Variability between products and campaigns should be included in the required operating range.

02 / APPLICATION

Review deposits and the final concentrate

Provide representative composition and observations of deposits where available. Changes in concentration and temperature can affect rheology and fouling behaviour. Ask the proposal to address the final pass, wetting and cleaning access instead of assuming that a stable inlet pump flow resolves those issues.

03 / APPLICATION

Define quality and handling requirements

State the concentration target, quality checks and downstream storage or transfer conditions. Final-concentrate pumping and cooling are part of a useful interface discussion, even when supplied separately. Acceptance needs a measured basis rather than a broad claim of gentle processing.

04 / APPLICATION

Send a duty that can be evaluated

Useful starting information includes feed kg/h, inlet and target solids, operating hours, feed temperature, utilities and the intended cleaning interval. Add final-concentrate viscosity and sample information when available. Keep litres per hour separate from mass flow unless a measured density conversion is provided.
